Most engine problems start in the fuel tank.
Fuel is unstable by nature and deteriorates quickly. The
first 100 days out of the refinery, like bad milk , the
solids start to come out of solution and the microbial
meridian starts to grow.
Regardless of how careful one is, water enters the fuel tank
in humid air which condenses on the sides and top of your
tank. Seepage through the deck, fittings, hoses,
sender and , of course, that drop or two when fueling, all
ends up in the bottom of your tank.
The fuel / water level is the microbial meridian where
bacteria actually grows. Additives and treatments only kill
the bacteria and help the solids fall to the bottom of the
tank, like leaves falling from a tree. This forms a sludge
and dark hazy fuel. All of this, combined with the
motion of the vehicle, ends up in your filters and engine.
This results in clogged filters, corroded injectors,
corroded tanks, damaged pumps, incomplete combustion, carbon
build-up, smoke, loss of power, and finally engine failure.
Fuel polishing ends this chain of events. We pump the
degraded fuel through an Algae-X 3000, which dissolves the
clusters and stabilizes the fuel. Using the fuel flow, the
turbine separates large solids and "free water" through
enhanced centrifugal force. Smaller water droplets and
solids coalesce on the conical baffle plate and fall to the
collection bowl, then into filters starting at 30 micron, 10
micron then 2 micron. The fuel is sent back to the tank
under pressure, where it agitates the microbial layer and
sludge, putting it back in solution and through the
polishing system until you are left with clear , bright
fuel, improved filterability, optimal combustion and a clean
fuel system.
